Hi! We are a group of enthusiastic colleagues and sport fans who every year participate in relay race called “From Tatras to Danube”. This year we've decided to combine the relay race with collection of money for experience and therapeutic camps for oncology and chronically ill children. Our goal is to run 345 km long relay race in team. Our team consists of 12 runners with two drivers who start early in the morning in Jasná in Low Tatras on Saturday 19th August 2023. The run will continue during the night and on Sunday 20th August 2023 we arrive to the final destination which is on the waterfront of Danube on Tyršov square in Bratislava. The running track is split into 36 relays of diverse lengths (7-12 km) and difficulties. The running track is 95% asphalt and composed of 2nd and 3rd class roads. Superelevation is approximately 3990m and the fall is approximately 4870m. Each of us will try its best on 3 running tracks and fight for the best results. It will take blood, sweat and tears without a proper sleep and proper meals. We, as runners, can transform our enthusiasm and determination for a change in lives of those in need. We believe that every step we take will bring happiness and help for those who need it the most. Each ran kilometer is a symbol of our endeavor. We want to create awareness and collective endeavor to help and change lives. We will donate part of our energy and results to people living in bad conditions. Let’s collect as much money as we can, let’s do a good deed and let’s donate a hope resembled in financial help. Even though we take small steps, we believe that together we can make things change.
