I am Zsuzsa Malík Bábi, a doctor and an amateur runner. On October 1, 2017, I will run the first half marathon of my life, on behalf of Bátor Tábor, to help their charity fundraiser at the Kosice International Marathon. The Bátor Tábor Foundation has been helping cancer-afflicted and chronically ill children return to their carefree childhood by organizing therapeutic recreation camps for them and their families. They host around 1000 campers each year, while reinforcing their self-confidence, strengthening their faith in healing and giving them power to face the struggles ahead - all free of charge. Starting in 2008, Slovak, Czech and Polish children also became part of the great adventure. I participated in the international camping sessions as a volunteer myself during 2010-2014, and I had the opportunity to personally experience the unique and wonderfully special atmosphere of the camp - the island of smile, where the sun always shines. Please, stand by my planned half marathon, adopt a kilometer of mine, support me and thus, the Bátor Tábor Foundation with the price of a movie ticket or a dinner. We can get further with your help!
